Old Buildings (26)

This evening I went out for a bit of a drive and snapped a few pics of old buildings.

The first pic, is a cropped detail of the bottom of an old building I thought looked interesting. The second pic is the old building, taken from the corner looking down the side of the building. I liked the way the wood seemed pieced together on the old structure. The last pic is a picture of an old chicken coop that I thought looked picturesque in it's rural setting...

Four more days to go....Woohoo!

  4. Thanks everyone. Thought maybe you all were getting tired of wildlife and plants so thought I would mix it up a bit. I love old buildings, with worn wood and exposed metal and stone. They have such a quiet history when you see them abandoned all alone.

George, that sounds neat, hope you post pics if you do make those minature replicas!

  9. Old, weathered wood has such great textures and you captured them perfectly. The top pic instantly reminded me of the outhouse I used until I was eight and we moved to a place with indoor plumbing. :-)

  11. Lol Vero, I assumed it was for venting? I don't know. It may have started out as something else but the people that live there use to raise chickens in it years ago when I was just a kid.
