25

Some days the opportunity presents it's self, and yet we still can't manage to reap it's benefits.

I am not thrilled with today's pics. They cold be better. I don't know if I was rushed, or just didn't have the right settings for my shots, but they didn't come out as crystal clear as I wanted. The camera seemed to be fixated on the leaves and had problems with focusing on the water droplets.

I don't know if I expect too much, or if my camera just has limitations, like me. But anyways, here are two pics from today after the rain from yesterday...

  2. Seriously?!? What in the world is wrong with these shots??? I LOVE that first one especially!! Look how you captured the beads of water all over and the ones around the perimeter of the leaves!! SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Vic, you don't give yourself NEARLY enough credit! I say pat yourself on the back - you did great! :)

  4. Thanks you two, I really think the water droplets should be clearer. It may be I just need to mess more with the manual settings. Autofocus tends to be selective some times on certain subjects.

  5. WOW . . . I don't know what you were expecting, but these are amazing (well, other than the fact they have nasty spider webs all through them . . . so far I am resisting the urge to take of my shoe and whack them) ;o)

    GREAT shots, vic!

  7. Love the detail! Wonder if you can catch dew on insects... or if you can zoom in one one dew drop to get the reflection in it.

  8. Vic the reason the water drops in the first picture don't stand out as much is because your camera focuses in on the nearest...I've tried to take pictures of something a bit far off only to discover it is blurry because a twig or piece of long grass closest to me got in the way.
There is nothing wrong with either picture...you are just being to critical of yourself. That is a Virgo thing!!!

  9. That would be a kewl pic George...I couldn't find much out though with all the rain. Think they were all tucked in snug as a bug in a rug ;)

  10. But I am a Libra! I want balance in my life...and in my pics! lol...

Yeah I have noticed the same thing Misty, and I have tried different settings as well for close-up and zooming. There is a bit of difference with each of them, most noticeable on different lighting as how close of detail one can get. I think I just expect too much. I want a pic to show exactly what my eye sees...

  11. Have you tried standing on one foot with your eyes closed? They say it helps you to develop balance. ;-)

And if you rub your belly and pat your head at the same time that's supposed to do something too . . . or is it the other way round . . . hmmmmmm . . .

  12. I can't do two things at once....and you know my big hair will topple me over if I try standing on one foot! ;))
