Mix (27)

Today's pics for the daily photo challenge is a bit of an assortment. The first pic is of old wood, the second pic is a tucked away statue, hidden almost from view. It is nothing extraordinary, but I liked the feeling it evoked. The last pic is of a bird, some kind of pigeon? I am not sure, I need to invest in a good bird book or do some googling.

  1. Three big hits, Vic! I'm pretty sure that's a dove.

  5. Yeah, it's a dove. LOL And a beautiful one at that. We have a lot of these around the yard. One year, they even nested in the little tree by my swing. :)

LOVE that first shot - the weed against that log!!! It feels all rustic and countrified, and I LOVE that!!! :)

You did a great job on the statue photo!!

  8. Looks like our Mourning Doves. I love the wood picture...is it a log? The hole made me think it could be someone's little home. And the statue picture....priceless.

  13. I love the log the best . . . I LOVE the textures of wood . . .

I think I have a statue just like that (or maybe one of his companions) in my garden at the old house . . . I better remember to bring the little guy to his new home . . . Thanks for the reminder! ;o)

    I don't know anything about birds, so I wouldn't have even hazarded a guess . . . Pretty dove!
