Thanksgiving Quiz

Well since I can't think of much to blog about today I thought I would just make a Thanksgiving quiz to see how you are going to be celebrating the holiday, even if you aren't celebrating the day feel free to post your comments...

    5. Cornmeal or bread dressing/stuffing? I combine both.

    7. Favorite pie? (or dessert if you don't like pie) Pumpkin, Dream Pies, Carrot Cake

    9. Favorite side dish? Green beans seasoned with bacon and onions

    10. What else is on the menu? Candied yams, corn, broccoli, mashed tators, gravy, hot roll's

    11. Did you ever have to dress up like a pilgrim? No

    12. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? All the past Thanksgiving with all my family around laughing, eating, laughing, eating some more.

    9. Favorite side dish? Caramel sweet potatoes

    10. What else is on the menu? Mashed taters, corn or green bean casserole, oops forgot about the rolls.....Thanks Judy!!!

    11. Did you ever have to dress up like a pilgrim? Nope

    12. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? When I was little my Aunt bought this HUGE (33#) turkey on sale after Thanksgiving , so we we invited back over for LOTS of turkey...... It was so big it was roasted on a cookie sheet and covered in foil and as the juices ran out my aunt had to keep getting the baster and removing them or they ran all over the oven......if I remember right to took 7 + hours to cook.....but it was one of the best turkeys I ever had..

  3. 1.Home 2. Cooking 3. Dark 4. Stuffing 5. Bread 6.Canned jellied (no berries) for hubby and home made for me and the rest. 7. Chocolate cream from scratch with real whipped cream 8. Standing most of the time LOL 9. Green beans or sweet potatoes (a toss up) 10. Stuffing, mashed taters and gravy , pumpkin pie, butterhorn crescent rolls (home made) and all of the above plus ham for the ones who don't want turkey. 11. No 12. The time the cat got into the foil wrapped cooked turkey and ate almost a whole leg and thigh. (Wasn't too funny at the time though ) LOL

    4. Is it stuffing or dressing? Dressing

    5. Cornmeal or bread dressing/stuffing? Bread.

    7. Favorite pie? (or dessert if you don't like pie) Orange. (Made like lemon)

    8. Kiddy or grown up table? No kiddies here anymore.

    9. Favorite side dish? Like most anything but hoping for good mashed potatoes.

    10. What else is on the menu? Won't know till daughter gets here.

    11. Did you ever have to dress up like a pilgrim? No

    12. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Lots of them but one of the favorites is when I cooked my first turkey for my in-laws, with the giblet bag still inside.

  5. #1At Home..#2 cooking...#3 both...#4 stuffing...#5 Cornbread...#6 yeah or yea...#7Apple Raspberry...#8 the big peoples table...#9 Stuffing...#10 Mashed Potatoes, sweet potatoes, home made bread, corn and glazed carrots with apple, Mincemeat pie and pumpkin pie, Pumpkin bread...#11 My wife isn't into roll playing... #12 On leave from the Army and going for a Thanksgiving day meal that my 3 older sisters were having and ended up making the gravy because none of them knew how or maybe the time we took a scout troop out and did a thanksgiving meal all cooked over fires. We fed about 40 people in the pouring rain and had a great time.

  10. i ain't cooking, but will clean it all up, stove top works for me as I'm not picky about food! Love cranberries, hate pumpkin pie, but love other pumpkiny things ...have never been a pilgrim, but have been an Indian! lol

  11. well its nice to see what you are all doing on thanks giving. We don't have it here in New Zealand. I find it interesting what you have to eat as well. I see that lots of you have green beans which I totally love. I have to say that I bet Mrs Luckydog wont be having green beans!!!!!

  12. 1. At home or traveling? At home cuz my sister and I are across the fence neighbors so we don't have to drive.

    2. Cooking or not cooking? Side dish cooking. Turkey is not my job due to the fact that a turkey should not look like a big raisin when it's done.

    3. White meat or dark? Mostly white

    4. Is it stuffing or dressing? stuffing

    5. Cornmeal or bread dressing/stuffing? cornmeal also done by my sister because i do stovetop if it's up to me.

    6. Cranberry sauce? Yeah or Nay? make like a horse and nuhuh.

    7. Favorite pie? (or dessert if you don't like pie) the one in front of me first

    8. Kiddy or grown up table? sofa or chair crushed together with kids and adults.

    9. Favorite side dish? gravy with a little mashed potatoes.

    10. What else is on the menu? candied yams, rolls, whole greenbeans with bacon garlic and onion simmered for a looong time, deviled eggs and a lot of dessert

    11. Did you ever have to dress up like a pilgrim? no but it sounds fun.

    12. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Hmmm... not sure. Thanksgiving is so much fun and low stress usually.
